Share Your Savings Satuday: Spent $45.96, Saved $84

This week was really busy for me, so I only made it to Publix.  I had to make a couple small trips for a few items, but my biggest grocery trip is pictured above.  It was a light week for coupons.  I kept it pretty simple.

Here is what I bought from my main trip to Publix:

2  bags Doritos
2 bags Eat Smart Snacks
1 lemon
2 tomatoes
1 bulb of garlic
2 cartons of Breyer’s ice cream
2 packages Ranier cherries
2 jars Chi Chi salsa
2 packs Yo-Plus yogurt
1 can tomato paste
1 can cannellini beans
1 package feta cheese
1 package whole grain pitas
3 onions
1 bunch of parsley
1 package romaine lettuce
4 packs of IBC drinks

Total Before Sales and Coupons: $81.58
Total saved from sales: $32.99
Manufacturer coupons used: $4.75
Store/Competitor coupons used: $12.00
Total amount saved:  $49.74
Total paid after all sales and coupons: $31.84

I also made a small trip to get the items I needed for my weekly news segment, as well as a couple trips to get an item or two here and there (like some lemons for my homemade strawberry lemonade).  Altogether, with all my trips combined, I spent a total of $45.96, and saved a total of $84.

No CVS this week – just didn’t have time.  :(

July Totals:

1st Week:  $42.99
2nd Week:  $45.96

Total spent for month of July so far:  $88.95
Total savings for month of July so far:  $195.20

Hi Meagan. I am trying to keep up with my monthly savings (new to couponing, this is my 2nd month more or less) and I have no idea where to start. I have two spreadsheets for CVS & Wags that a friend sent me that are awesome b/c I can keep track of my RR & ECBs (93% savings at CVS & 87% at Wags! Woo hoo). So, I tried doing a spreadsheet that has CVS, Wags & Publix but I don’t feel like I’m getting accurate numbers b/c it doesn’t take into account my rewards earned. Make sense? Have you already answered a question like this that you could point me to? I only have Excel (my husband is the brains for Excel, maybe I should get him in here too!). Thanks!!
