I have tried to freeze gream cheese and it was disasterous
I read online that it doesnt freeze right and looses its consistency and doesnt bake right either.. I had gotten so many free at one point that I froze a bunch of them and went to make bagels and the cream cheese wouldnt spread! lol – does this happen to you too?

@maria, Yeah – I wouldn’t freeze it to use on bagels or anything. I would just freeze the ones that I plan on using in a recipe, so that the texture isn’t as important. I honestly haven’t tried it, but I’ve heard of many people who freeze it and use it for baking just fine. Hmmm. Thanks for the perspective.
