New to couponing, a little overwhelmed, and have no clue where on earth to start? This page is for you!
Regardless of where you live or what your situation may be, these 2 links can help you out in your couponing journey:
Couponing Basics – A little bit about how coupons work, where to find them, and how to save time in your couponing methods!
Supermarket Secrets – A five-part series that explains how to save money on your groceries. It is very detailed and informative, but very simple to follow. If you’re really serious about diving into this couponing world, read this series to learn everything you need to know (regardless of which store you shop at)!
The following links cover the basics of how to shop with coupons at the stores I most recommend here in the Southeast:
Principles of Publix – Learn all about the coupon policies of Publix stores and how to maximize your grocery savings at this extremely coupon-friendly grocery store. If you have a Publix within driving distance, I recommend you do all of your grocery shopping there! (Yep, you heard me correctly!)
CVS Basics – Learn how to play the “drug store game” at CVS, and soon you’ll be walking out of the store with bag fulls of FREE items. I haven’t paid for household or beauty items in over 2 years!
Walgreens Basics – Learn how to play the “drug store game” at Walgreens. It is very similar to CVS, but certain coupon policies make it a little more difficult than CVS. I personally recommend CVS over Walgreens, but this post can get you started if you prefer to shop at Walgreens!
Interested in this crazy thing I’m always talking about called Swag Bucks, a program that pays you for searching the Internet? Learn everything you need to know about the program at the following link:
For more helpful tips and suggestions, you can check out the following links:
Question and Answer Sessions – Occasionally a reader asks me a question that I feel would benefit the rest of the readers of this blog. In these posts, I answer those questions!
Tuesday Tidbits & Tips – Many Tuesdays, I offer additional helpful tidbits that you might not have thought about before!
Whew! Not too much to learn, right? Don’t worry – it will get easier! My biggest tip for a beginner is to try not to pull your hair out get overwhelmed. Take it slow – maybe focusing on one store at a time. In no time at all, you’ll be a couponing pro! And when you get that first “AHA!” moment after using coupons on a shopping trip, be sure to take a picture and e-mail me about your savings. I love sharing readers’ savings, because it helps encourage other readers who are beginners.
And remember…the most important thing is to HAVE FUN!
